Q: What are the benefits of the GutterShutter system?

• You will never have to clean your gutters again, guaranteed.

• Our gutter system will never clog, and we offer a lifetime guarantee that is transferable upon sale of your property.

• We use seamless custom application for every home which means there are NO leaky seams.

• You have a choice of fourteen (14) beautiful colors. GutterShutter is also available in copper. No matter what you choose, the GutterShutter system creates a "crown molding" appearance that enhances the visual appeal of your home.

• The GutterShutter system attaches directly to the rafter tails or fascia board of the house. Conventional gutters attach to the roof, which often causes leaks in the roof. Our system will not cause roof leaks.

• It works with all roof types: laminated shingle, wood shake, wood shingle, tile, metal... It also works with all roof pitches.

• We use only premium-grade .032 gauge aluminum, which is nearly double the thickness and strength of conventional rain gutters and is the strongest aluminum used for a residential application.

Q: How does it work?

GutterShutter completely encloses and protects. There are no vertical openings for water or clogging debris to enter, and no screens, inserts or filters to clog. Rainwater flows over and around the nose of the GutterShutter by the simple physical law of water surface tension, flowing into the gutter portion, while leaves and debris flow over and off, never clogging the system. This will afford you the peace of mind that comes with knowing you no longer will be putting anyone's health or safety at risk by climbing the ladder to clean your gutters.

Your fascia is no longer at risk to additional rotting as the exclusive High Back system ensures your board is covered in aluminum adding to GutterShutter's water management features.

Q: How is the GutterShutter system installed?

We remove your old gutters and down-spouts and throw away all debris. Then we custom-make a premium aluminum seamless gutter system right there in front of your home.

We attach our gutter studs every 24" to either the rafter tails or fascia boards of the building. Installing the gutter studs every 24" makes the system ideal for heavy loads like ice and snow.

Our hoods are then anchored to the gutter studs (again every 24"), making it impossible for the hood to ever be blown off or to separate from the system.

Our elbows all curve, allowing water to flow freely and not collect at angle points.

This results in a premium gutter system that is virtually maintenance-free.

Q: Can GutterShutter be installed on my metal or slate roof?

Yes! Because GutterShutter is attached to your fascia board and NOT underneath your roof's shingles and is offered in a variety of options, including a NEW hood complete with specialty embossing and strategically spaced perforations, The GutterShutter System will provide your home with leaf & debris protection and additional water management.

Q: What if I eventually have to replace my current roof?

GutterShutter attaches directly to the fascia board, in no way interfering or associated with the roof.

Q: How is GutterShutter attached to the fascia board?

Because the method of attachment is the most important part of any gutter system, The GutterShutter System attaches to the home using our unique, patent pending GutterStud, the heart of the system! Unlike typical systems that use an inexpensive plastic or glass filled polypropylene bracket, The GutterStud is made mostly from a virgin nylon material which will not shift due to material breakdown because of weather conditions. It is applied to the fascia using ONLY two 3" galvanized screws, NO NAILS OR RIVETS, spaced every 24" on the board in a vertical fashion, ensuring permanent attachment to the home. Installation procedures are of the utmost importance on this home feature and The GutterShutter Company uses factory trained installers with experience in our Leaf & Debris Systems to ensure your satisfaction in performance!

Q: What about leaking end caps?

Your GutterShutter system is applied to your home with a Government-patented one piece end cap that is screwed into the GutterStud twice after being sealed internally with a private labeled GutterShutter caulk, leaving no holes or openings. The patented end cap is also manufactured with virgin nylon ensuring it will not break down or deteriorate due to weather conditions.
